Named after the Sanskrit word for cycles of creation and renewal, KALPA envisions art as an essential presence in life, one that shapes spaces, deepens awareness, and evokes a sense of awe and belonging. Since its inception, the Gallery’s selection focuses on sublime forms, precious techniques, and outstanding skills, rooted in the belief that the conceptual and decorative functions can enhance each other to bring art into our everyday living and homes.
Founded by multidisciplinary artist and designer Olga Niescier in 2019 in the ancient town of Volterra, Tuscany, where the richness of the Etruscan civilization equals the vastness of wild nature, KALPA Gallery represents a carefully selected roster of international artists and makers, each embodying a mastery of craft and an innate understanding of balance – between raw and refined, shadow and light, the organic and the sacred.
Informed by ancient wisdom yet forward-looking in vision, the Gallery nurtures an intuitive dialogue between past and present, material and spirit, the West and the East. Through curated exhibitions, bespoke consultancy, and collaborations with international partners, KALPA pursues a holistic approach to create environments that foster a sense of harmony between art, architecture, and natural surroundings.
